FiberWALE

Improved Load Distribution – Accommodating for Tight Fits

FiberWALES are fiber reinforced structural sections with higher stiffness than plastic lumber.  This distributes impact loads to more pilings in a fender system.  The product was developed for fender geometries that require the wales be formed to a tight radius.  This can be important in narrower channels or areas where many structures are in close proximity.

FiberWALE can be designed with different dimensions and thicknesses to cost-effectively meet performance requirements.  Shapes can be box sections or hat sections.  Bolted splices are used to join wale sections.
